Role Manager

Role Manager

There are two sets of roles in OpSuite. One is for OpSuiteOFFICE and is configured as part of your deployment process and is not editable by end users. The other is POS Roles and these can be configured by the end user and show in the menu.

OpSuiteOFFICE Roles

There are more than 300 settings for OpSuiteOFFICE Rolls,  You will be provided a matrix of role configuration similar to the one below prior to your setup. You can define new rolls as needed and these will be configured for your deployment. In addition you will have the option of enabling or disabling more than 150 reports by role.

There are 6 Cashier Roles for OpSuite Point of Sale.  They include: Admin, Cashier, Lead Cashier, Manager, Supervisor and Trainee.  Having multiple roles allows you to set what the employee can or cannot do on the POS.  Each employee is assigned a Cashier Role in the Employee module.

For each role action on the POS, there are four (4) options to select from:
  1. Always Allow - This allows the role/user to perform the action without restrictions.
  2. Always Allow and Can Give Permission - This allows the role/user to approve an action for another employee.
  3. Require Manager Code - This requires the role/user to have another role/user to approve an action (must have Always Allow and Can Give Permission).
  4. Never Allow - This restricts the role/user from performing an action.
