Reports

Note: There are two types of reports, Legacy Reports and Analytics. Legacy reports are soon to be eliminated and have been replicated in Analytics where required. It is suggested you use the Analytics reports exclusively. The following information on reports is related only to the Analytics reports.

OpSuite provides a wide range of reports that cover every aspect of your retail cycle.  They range from customer sales to orders, and everything in between.  All reports available to you can be found in under Reports in the main OpSuite menu.  The analytical reports are separated by the main concept they are reporting on.  In this example, we will use Sales, specifically the Detailed Sales Advanced report.

All of the analytic reports allow you to select the filters you want to view.  In this example, I have selected 18 locations, and 1 Department that consists of 8 categories.  I want to view the sales for those locations, for that department, between January 1, 2020 and February 21, 2020.  A sliding date type allows you to pull data for non-specific dates, such as last month start, and this week end.  After your filters are selected, click View Report.

Customize

The columns displayed can be added or removed by selecting the gear icon.  This allows you to customize your report and the data displayed.

Within the gear icon options, you can also select how you want the data sorted for a particular column.  You can also group data together and select how many rows of data you want to view on a single page.

Certain reports allow you to further filter the data, or apply a formula to a column.

 Charts

Adding a visual chart to a report can be done by selecting Add Chart.  Bar, Line, Curved Line, Pie, Scatter Plot, Heatmap and Gauge charts are available to enhance the look and feel of your report.

Columns
The columns of the report can each be sorted, moved, and resized.  To sort the data in the column, click on the column header and select how you want the data sorted.

To resize the column width, click on the right side of the column and drag to your desired width.

To move the column placement within the table, click the left side of the column and drag to your desired location.

 Exporting

Each report can be exported to your local computer.  Most reports will give the option of the file type you want to download to.  Those options include Excel, CSV and PDF.  Depending on the size of the report, it may take a few seconds for the export to populate.  Once the export is complete, the file type chosen will open in it's native program.

Save Report
Certain reports can be saved and automatically sent to your email on a set schedule.  To do this, select the report you want to receive, and set the filters.  How you set the filters will determine the data automatically sent to you.  Click view report to ensure the data you have selected is how you want it it, then select Save Report.  To set this report apart from others, you will be asked to give a description of the report.  For instance, I want to see the Top Sales filtered by cashier daily, so my report will be named Top Sales by Cashier.

A new window will open and you will see your new report at the top of the list.  To schedule this   report, click the clock on the right hand side of the table.

Here you will designate who it will be going to, and who it's from.  For instance, you as a store   owner want to send the Top Sales by Cashier to each manager.  You can select the format you want   to go as (PDF, CSV, Excel), and a message to accompany the report each time it is sent.

Next you will select the schedule in which it should be sent.  You can select Daily, Monthly, Hourly,   etc., along with the time you want the report sent each day.

If you only want to send the report for a limited time, you can then enter a start and end date.  The   start date will default to the date the Saved Report was created.

Once a report is scheduled, you will notice that the clock icon in the table has turned green.  This means that it is on an active schedule to be sent.  To cancel a scheduled report, simply click the trash icon for that report.  To remove the saved report completely, click the trash icon again.
