Receipts

OpSuite Point of Sale allows you to customize your receipts and/or invoices and assign them to one or more of your locations.  You can add custom text to highlight an event or your return policy,     as  well as choose what information is displayed on both regular and gift receipts.

To start customizing a receipt, click on Receipts in the Point of Sale section of OpSuite, then select Add in the top left of the lookup table.

As you start customizing your receipt template, the changes you make will appear on a receipt mockup on the right side of the page.  This allows you   to see what your receipt will look like.

Start by selecting your Receipt Type (Receipt or Gift) then name your template.  For instance, if you are highlighting an event, name it after the event   so you can easily identify it.

Next, you will start entering your store details and options.

Basic Receipt Information
  • Store Name - You can use the name from Location Details or enter a new name.  The store name will always be at the top of the receipt.
  • Store Address - Select to use the address from Location Details, or enter a new address.  You can choose to have the address visible or hidden, and at the top or bottom of the receipt.
  • Store Phone - Use the phone number from Location Details or enter a new number.  You can choose to hide the phone number, or show it at the top or bottom of the receipt.
  • Store Number - This is the location code assigned in Location Details.  You can use the assigned code or enter a new one.  You may also choose whether to hide the store code, or display it at the top or bottom of the receipt.
  • Website - You may use the website from Location Details, or enter a new one.  The website may also be displayed at the top or bottom of the receipt, or hidden.
  • Receipt Image - Adding an image to your receipt will enhance the look.  You can use the image from Company Setup, or you may upload a new image.  To upload a new image, you must first add it to the list of available images.  Start by selecting Add Image, and browse for the image you want to use.  The optimal size for the image is 100px by 100px, as it will not be resized in OpSuite.  The image clarity is dependent on your receipt printer's printing resolution.  It's best to use a simple, single color (black) image.  Once you have added your image, click on Choose Image, and select the image.

Free Text

You can enter up to 5 separate Free Text fields.  This allows you to separate information on the receipt.  Such as event information and return policies.  The Free Text can be left or right justified, or centered.  All Free Text fields will be printed at the bottom of the receipt, under the barcode.

Once all of your options are selected, take a look at the mock-up.

To apply your receipt template to a location, select Apply To at the bottom of the screen.  Here you will select which locations this receipt will be used.

Gift Receipts are very similar to regular receipts.  Gift Receipts have taken many of the item options away, so that price, sales, and discounts are not shown.

 Customizing an Invoice
