POS Function Buttons

Additional POS Functions

In addition to the point of sale's standard features, there are additional functions that can be found at the bottom of the POS window.

The Functions menu can be expanded to the 2 or more rows as show above by clicking the MORE button (shown here as LESS) to the left of the TOTAL button.  The order in which the buttons are displayed can be edited through the Display Settings within Devices in OpSuite.

The Cancel button will cancel the current transaction or return, and the default page will be displayed.

The Hold button will place the current transaction on hold.  It can be recalled using the Recall button, or through the History page under the main menu.

Reprint will print a duplicate of the last printed receipt.

The Recall button will take you to Held Transactions within the History page, allowing you to bring a held transaction back to the transaction page to be completed or closed out.

SKU/QTY allows you to enter a quantity then scan the barcode or enter the sku instead of scanning each of the same item individually.

Shipping will open the shipping information from the Total bar.  A customer MUST be selected on the transaction for this function to work.

The Discounts button opens the transaction level discounts from the total bar.

The Comment button will open up the comments at the transaction level in the total bar.

Gift Load opens a pop-up to load an amount onto a pre-existing gift card.  The amount will be added to the transaction.

The Activate button opens a pop-up allowing you to activate and add a balance to a NEW gift card.  The amount will be added to the transaction.

No Sale can open the cash drawer outside of a transaction.  A comment can be entered for the No Sale.

The Drop button is used to remove cash from the cash drawer into a safe.  You will be required to enter the drop amount so your cash count at the end of the day is still correct.

Paid Out is used when using cash from the drawer to pay for goods or services for the location.  You will be required to enter the payment amount so your cash count at the end of the day is still correct.

The Donation button will only appear if donations are enabled on the device, and there is an active donation.  This will open the pop-up to add a donation to the transaction.

Account is used to make a payment to a customer account.  A valid customer must be added to the transaction.  A pop-up will allow you to choose which payment to make: Full Balance, Statement Balance or a Custom Amount.  This will be added to the transaction total.

The Order button will initiate a Work Order.  Any items already on the transaction will be placed into the work order.  Placing orders will be discussed further in Point of Sale Orders.
