Device Groups

Device Groups are another way to group certain devices together within a location or across locations within an Enterprise.  Every device in the device group will have the same device settings.  These settings can be changed within Device Groups or in an individual device and assigned to a specific group.  Device Groups are a perfect solution to setting up and maintaining multiple devices within a single location.  For instance, a sports stadium may have 100 devices throughout.  Thirty of them are food based, and 70 of them are retail based.  The food based devices may have different settings than the retail devices.  Device groups will allow you to make changes to ALL food based devices at once without affecting the retail devices.

To set up your Device Group, select New Device Group from the lookup menu under Device Groups.  Give your Device Group a name and then select devices to include.  When completed, hit SAVE.
