Coupons
Coupons allow the user to create a new coupon to be used with Promotions. The coupons can be a reward or a qualifier for future purchases. The coupon module within OpSuite allows you to create a coupon image outside of OpSuite using the design software of your choice, it is then imported into the Coupon module.
Coupons can be used to give a dollar amount or percent off a transaction, group of items or an individual item. To create a promotion using coupons, go to
Promotions.
The Coupon lookup table shows all available coupons that have already been imported. This table will show the date it was added and if it has been assigned to a promotion. Only coupons NOT assigned can be deleted.
Once your coupon is designed, you can upload into OpSuite to be assigned to a promotion. Enter the Name and Description, then select your pre-designed coupon image. When your coupon image becomes visible, click Save Coupon on the bottom of the screen.
Coupon items can be created in OpSuite under
Items. This will allow you to track how many coupons have been used, as well as what stores they are available at. You can give the coupon a negative dollar amount, so that when it's rang up at the Point of Sale, it automatically takes the dollar amount off. You can also leave the dollar amount blank, and create a
promotion using the coupon as a qualifier to be able to take a percentage off of an item or transaction.
